Who are the DTTP Participants?

DTTP participants complete specialized skills training, received mentorship, and have participated in an innovation hackathon. The final phase of their certificate connects tech talent with forward-thinking employers to gain practical experience in the industry.

Frequently asked questions 

What does a DTTP project need to include?

Projects should provide 40 hours of work per learner participating. Each project must be completed within 4 weeks. For more information on how to create and submit a project for DTTP, you can consult this article.

How many projects can I submit and how many Participants can I take on?

There’s no limit to how many projects an employer can submit to the DTTP Program. You will be assigned a team of 5 per project.

What if my project requires more than 40 hours of work?

If this is the case, we suggest splitting the one project into two distinct projects. Keep in mind working with 5 learners means a project can require 200 hours of work in total.

Program Partners

The Diverse Tech Talent Program (DTTP), is an initiative by the World Innovation League (WIL) in collaboration, with AtilaCo.LabSkillhat, and Riipen. DTTP is on a mission to bridge the diversity gap in the tech industry and provide essential skills, mentorship, and job placements for Black Canadians and new immigrants. DTTP is poised to reshape the future of tech by fostering diversity, providing specialized training, and opening doors to exciting career opportunities.

Get the help you need with your projects by delegating your tasks at no cost to learners specialized in a variety of product management skills.

Remote mentorship

Post your tasks and work with learners remotely. We required maximum of a 5-hour from organizations to communicate feedback over the course of your collaboration.

Our team is looking for a WordPress wizard who can help us drive more traffic and improve our website.

Web App (Front End) 

Project Scope:

Develop a fully functional and responsive front end for the Zinio platform, based on existing UI/UX designs.

Learners will be responsible for:

  • . Implement UI Designs: Translate design files into functional HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.
  •  Responsive Web Development: Ensure compatibility across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Interactive Features: Develop dynamic and interactive elements using JavaScript.
  • Testing and Debugging: Identify and rectify any bugs or issues.

Project Scope:
Our company would like to explore revisiting the current UX practice on our story-reading platform with a prototype. Our next BIG GOAL is growing the MVP to version 2.0. We are always on the lookout for innovative and fresh UI and UX ideas that will help our users.

Learners will be responsible for:
